Yeates Mancil Architects designed the exterior restoration of this important historic museum located in Jackson Square in the Vieux Carre of New Orleans, Louisiana. The work involved exterior renovations to the existing historic fabric, the replacement of slate roofing, copper gutters and flashing, masonry, stucco and the replacement of the historic Cupola which had been destroyed by a hurricane in 1900. This building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Vieux Carre Commission awarded Yeates and Yeates Architects a Certificate of Honor for Reconstruction for the design work on this historic project.
