City of New Orleans Criminal Courts Building

New Orleans, Louisiana

Yeates Mancil Architects is currently providing full A/E services for an exterior renovation of the Orleans Parish Criminal Courts Building. The project includes the replacement of more than 275 existing historic windows, as well as the reglazing and protective structural hardening of 14 large historic Grand Hall windows. Other associated work includes the cleaning and restoration of the exterior limestone and masonry facades, repainting interior walls, and the replacement of interior window casings, woodwork and marble surrounds where necessary. The phasing of the project will allow and emphasize the need to maintain the functions of the existing courtrooms along with all the supportive associated ancillary administrative spaces. This building is also listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
